The Collection counts 214 cards, covering roughly 136 distinct names — most players appear in several categories at different ratings. The game's own description says 200+ characters.

How it is organised
The Collection groups cards by category rather than by rarity. Categories are story arcs, national squads and club teams, and inside each one cards are sorted by OVR descending.
The counter at the top reads 214, which is the number of cards — not the number of distinct players. The same footballer appears in several categories at different ratings, which is why the game's description says 200+ characters while the real number of names is closer to 136.

Shinies
A Shinies toggle sits in the top right of the Collection screen and switches to a separate shiny set, effectively doubling the size of the collection as a completion goal.
Shiny cards are not yet covered by this database — the capture it was built from did not include them. That is a stated gap, not a claim that they do not matter.
Reading a card
Each tile packs four things into a small space: OVR in the top left, position in the top right, the player portrait in the middle, and the name across the bottom. The background colour is the rarity band, which maps exactly to the OVR.
The position in the top right is the only value that changes while you look at it. Everything else on the card is stable.
